I think Zander may have reignited my belief in happily ever after Zoe is still picking up the pieces of her psyche after her husband Mark decided it was time for a newer model – mid-life crisis, then buyers remorse, both apply to him and I couldn’t help but smile when he realized the grass isn’t so green on the other side. ?

A chance encounter and a wonderfully romantic younger man show Zoe that she still has a lot to offer and her experiences only make her more desirable. It was such a unique take IMO. I do not normally do OWYM but after reading this I have to admit that I may have been missing out. They complimented each other so well. Opposite in so many ways while so much about them complimented the other. The chemistry between them felt right, and at that point in your life why hesitate? Why second guess if it is right? And who the heck cares what other people think?

This was a sexy, emotional love story that hit a lot of notes for me.

It is one of those that are perfect for a quiet evening by the fire or an afternoon next to the pool. Definitely recommend!

This is the 2nd book in this series and is Zander and Zoe’s journey. Zoe moves to Riverbend for a fresh start as she is newly divorced after her ex decided to choose a younger model, and the last thing she wants is to get into any relationships. Zander is an auto mechanic, and one look at Zoe and he is determined to have her. Zoe has insecurities and Zander is haunted by his past, but can they conquer their fears and take a chance on each other. This is a beautifully written story which is an emotionally charged tale, with passion, humour, and a steamy and all-consuming read. I was captivated throughout this riveting and addictive page turner, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend for all readers.

My first read by this author, and it was a refreshing change. I don’t usually go for the age difference reads, but I gave this one a go, and throughly enjoyed it. Loved Zander and Zoe, but also the other characters, made great reading There’s some humour, as well as the hot romance with a good storyline ,that’s well written.

Zoe and Zander are from different worlds, but that does not mean one is smarter than the other. Years of conditioning that things can only be one way must be overcome to be realized differently. I loved this book!

Improbable Odds is a short story contemporary romance.

This book is filled with steamy scenes, cute romance and two divorced individuals together at a yoga class.

IO involves an older women and younger guy 12 years younger than her. I really loved this concept of the book because I personally haven’t come across alot of these tropes compared to the opposite gender.

I did feel like this book went in to quick with the MCs getting together especially the steamy scene. However, it was also great to see there feelings all of there place and there insecurity with there partners.

It would’ve been nice to see Zander getting to see Zoe’s family just how she did with Zanders. Was disappointed when I didn’t get to see the introduction.

After my husband died I discovered Hallmark movies. They were comforting because of their predictability and how love always triumphs. My normal preference is always a book over a movie and that’s what made me decide to read my first-ever romance. What a great choice Deep currents was for this romance virgin. The characters grapple with widowhood and loss among other challenges and ultimately find happiness through trust, community, and connection. The dialogue is great. I especially enjoyed the internal monologue of the main characters. It gave them great dimension in the midst of an engaging plot. The icing on the cake is the well-written steamy sex that Hallmark doesn’t even allude to. It woke up a part of me that has been dormant for a handful of years. I am hooked on Riverbend. I know it’s not a real place, but I’d move there if I could.

Deep Currents was an absolutely beautiful story. I couldn’t put the book down, I read 50% of the book in the first sitting! I easily fell into the story and really felt like I knew the characters personally. Heartfelt and wonderfully written.

If you’re looking for a steamy romance, this story won’t disappoint. If you’re looking for characters who have to overcome emotional and physical traumas from their childhoods, come on into the world of Riverbend. Find out the challenged from their pasts that Cassandra and Marcus have to face in order to get their happily ever after. There’s also bonus material at the end of the Kindle version and the promise of the next book that will explore the relationship of two other characters from this book. I was an ARC reader for this book. I enjoyed Deep Currents by Izzy Mathews . It was an easy read. You will fall in love with the characters as their story unfolds. Very relatable story about loss, dreams, relationships, love, fears, sex, and passion. You won’t be able to put it down! I can’t wait to read the next one.
